Today marked the first day of Indiecade 2012, the independent games festival in Culver City, California. Dubbed as “The Sundance of Videogames”, opening with the red carpet tonight, Indiecade brings California international entries ranging in games genres of board games, card games, role playing games to, as you all know, video games! You all know the typical home titles like Monopoly or Halo, but step outside of the box and accept that these games are merely the work of the past. There’s more to come — as in the innovations are immense in this festival; many of which you can try during their daytime gaming events, and their evening gaming events — indoors and out.
Azure Lorica’s, Stefanie Warner had the pleasure of speaking with Indiecade CEO, Stephanie Barish, in an exclusive interview online. We thought that hearing this news straight from the source would’ve been much easier to take in, because let’s face it, the “indie” scene is in!
