We would like to give a big thanks to everyone that came to support Ninja-Con! From the Artists to the Volunteers, the Panelists, the Staff, the Board, and most of all THE FANS! It’s been a long journey for all of us, creating a convention for the independent artists in the Anime Community, and thanks to your support this may become a recurring event.
Since last year of August, we’ve been doing our best to attend each convention, promoting Ninja-Con to give back to the community what they deserved. For a few years, all of the anime conventions have been either down-sizing or had gone completely commercial. Less and less independent artists have been able to hold panels, and the fans have started to question where their place was in these events. To us, Ninja-Con is one of many that will return the artists back to the community. And thanks to your support — the fans that made this happen for all of us — we will spread this across to all the Conventions, and return next year with more independent artists JUST FOR YOU 🙂
We would like to give a big thanks to the people that coordinated this event, the CEOs: Stefanie Warner (CEO, Azure Lorica, Inc.) & Danny “DBoy” Gonzales (CEO, Ninja-Con). This convention would not have become what it is today without their creative direction, and contributions from Ray Kil and Eugene Docena.
We honor our Donors for their generous contributions: Nao Shinaiko, Kim Williams, and Danny Gonzales.
And to our Sponsors: Jungle Anime, Tea Rose Garden, Cardboard Arcade, and HEXCORP — THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!
For those interested in supporting next year’s Ninja-Con event, we would be most appreciative, if you could share your experiences on facebook.com/ninjacon. Let us know how you enjoyed it, share your photos, maybe even a blog post — we want to hear from you. This is a community, and we would like to continue nurturing it. This is a Convention for the independent artists in anime, so whether your a Cosplayer or Gamer, or Artist, or an overall Fan, we have it ready and waiting for 2014.
All proceeds and donations to Ninja-Con have gone to charity. Azure Lorica will continue bringing more live events in LA County, supporting artists through collaborations. Please join us for more information @ Ninja-ConLA.org
Thank you so much for everything!
