Ninja-Con 2014: fun memories even with strangers

A lively review from a fellow fan!


As an otaku in anime, manga, and Asian dramas… well, I’m the weird one from my Hispanic family. Then there’s the brief Halloween, because traditionally it starts until the evening, boo hoo! My favorite event of the year and it’s over in a blink of an eye, just like a roller coaster experience. Suddenly, peeps are wearing costumes on a regular day.

Ninja-Con 2014 enabled another regular day of the year, to feel just like Halloween, only longer and earlier, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7th in Little Tokyo (Downtown L.A.).  Just a pointer, cosplaying popularly refers to mimic your favorite publicized fictional character, although participants highly concentrate on anime and video game characters, and popular American film superheroes and villains… especially those from Marvel and DC comics.

Due to the title of the event, the Naruto Shippuden cosplayers (hot ninja Japanime) took most of the afternoon spotlight… and fans became paparazzis. It’s not…
